What is more difficult that starting a conversation with a complete stranger?
While you mull over possible answers to that question, here are some other questions you should have no trouble answering. They're the "Tell Me About" questions you'll find attached to many profiles.
Look for the "Tell Me About" tab at the top of the profile detail page.
When you click it, you'll find some questions the profile writer suggests you answer when you write to him or her. They're the sort of questions you might use to break the ice during a first meeting with someone: Your favorite musicians, the funniest thing that's ever happened to you, your favorite outdoor activity, etc.
Whatever questions the person selected, answering them will make it easy to strike up a conversation - certainly much easier than having to write, "Hey, I like your smile, let's talk."
Turn the conversation to them
1. Read their profile
2. Find the most interesting tidbit
3. Write about it
