Making it past the first date is always an important milestone. But what do you do now to keep the momentum going? Here are five novel ideas for a second date to ensure you make it to date #3 and beyond.
• Idea 1 - Miniature Golf: Mini-golf is a sports activity, but it really doesn't require tremendous dexterity to have some fun. You can make friendly wagers on the score, award a harmless kiss for any holes in one, and maybe even share a romantic moment when you putt together.
• Idea 2 - Pottery Class: Maybe this idea works because it brings back memories of that scene in "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Building something simple together like a cup or vase immediately creates an artifact from your date, like a first tangible memory together.
• Idea 3 - Ice Skating or Roller Skating: Here's
“an activity that naturally lends itself to holding hands”
an activity that naturally lends itself to holding hands, especially if one of you is less than a natural on the rink. Take it slow, no triple axels please, and do lap after lap until you're ready for a hot chocolate to wind down.
• Idea 4 - A Tour of Your City: Just because you've lived in your town for several years doesn't mean you know everything about where you live. Take a double decker bus tour together, particularly one that lets you hop on and off at different spots. You'll see the whole city in less than a day and build experiences together all over the city.
• Idea 5 - Make a Smoothie: Don't think alcohol right away -- a delicious smoothie can be made with just fresh fruits. You'll be making something together, choosing ingredients as a couple, plopping it all in the blender, and then literally enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Sounds like this is for the on line dating crowd...no creativity or imagination. I agree with #11 that if you need to resort to finding a "friend" on line you may as well hang it up!
